Volunteer Support Team (VST) –
The VST mission -assist the Volunteer Coordinator in the planning, coordination, executing and assessing the KZG volunteer program.

Specific areas where the VST supports the Volunteer Coordinator is:
   1. Outreach, Marketing and Guest Services events and programs
   2. Habichat
   3. Volunteer Website
   4. Field trips
   5. Website Animal Book
   6. Retention of volunteers
   7. Training of new volunteers
   8. Management of youth and adult volunteers
   9. Mentoring
   10. Volunteer meetings
   11. Continuing education

The VST is comprised of 6 adult and 1 youth representatives that meet on a monthly basis to discuss business related to the volunteer program. They are an important interface with and resource for all zoo volunteers. They are out and about at the zoo and willing to talk about the program – any problems or more importantly areas for improvement. If you have issues or ideas, please feel free to contact Jessica or any member of the VST.
